Moonpod-50 Dry Syrup is a pediatric oral antibiotic containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP equivalent to Cefpodoxime 50 mg after reconstitution. It belongs to the third-generation cephalosporin class of antibiotics and works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in the destruction of susceptible bacteria.
It is commonly prescribed for bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis media (ear infections), bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and uncomplicated skin infections in children.
Prepare the suspension with the recommended quantity of water and shake well before each use. The complete prescribed course should be taken to help prevent bacterial resistance and recurrence of infection.
