Moonmox-CV Dry Syrup is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxicillin 200 mg and Potassium Clavulanate 28.5 mg per 5 ml after reconstitution.
Amoxicillin belongs to the penicillin group of antibiotics and works by interfering with bacterial cell-wall synthesis.
Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It helps inhibit certain enzymes produced by bacteria that can otherwise reduce the effectiveness of Amoxicillin.
The combination provides antibacterial activity against selected susceptible organisms and may be prescribed for bacterial infections involving the respiratory tract, ear, sinus, urinary tract and other sites, depending on the clinical diagnosis.
