Moonmox-CV-DUO Dry Syrup is a higher-strength combination formulation containing Amoxicillin 400 mg and Potassium Clavulanate 57.5 mg per 5 ml after reconstitution.
Amoxicillin is a penicillin-class antibacterial agent that interferes with bacterial cell-wall synthesis. Potassium Clavulanate inhibits certain beta-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria, helping maintain the antibacterial activity of Amoxicillin against susceptible beta-lactamase-producing organisms.
The formulation is supplied as a dry syrup and is convenient when an oral liquid formulation is required. Dose selection should be based on the patient’s age, body weight, infection and medical assessment.
